Turkey vs. Freedom of Speech

In the second unit of the course Forbidden Books, we studied banned books throughout history and the figure of god for lots of religions. We read lots of readings from the Christian bible and the Muslim Koran. All of these investigations led to answering the question of why books are burned, banned and censored. For our action project we chose a country, a situation in that country and a book that has been censored in that country. I chose the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1991 in Turkey and I decided to focus on the author of articles and books, Baskin Oran. The way I presented my work was that I did a prezi.
